CONDO(R)HOTEL

In the aftermath of independence gained from Serbia in 2006, Montenegro has seen investment (mostly foreign) in the tourism sector and as a result its territory, especially the coastal area, prey to building speculation. Budva, with its “Detailed Urban Plan” (DUP), which includes the possibility of raising buildings up to 20 floors, is emblematic of this.
This project - named Condo(r)hotel because it plays on the name of the buildings (Condo hotel) and their sheer size and “rapacity” toward the environment in which they were erected - began from a trip made to Montenegro in 2022.
